The Pennsylvania County Planning Commission on Aug. 5 recommended that a 12.6881-acre parcel owned by Jerry Barker off State Road 671/Midway Road be rezoned from R-1 residential suburban subdivision to A-1 agricultural to permit consolidation with adjacent property. The motion to recommend approval passed unanimously (6–0).
Planning staff noted the staff summary was included in the commission packet; Barker represented the petition and declined to add further comment. No members of the public signed up to speak on the case.
If approved by the Board of Supervisors and the Board of Zoning Appeals, the rezoning would allow the uses listed under Section 35-1-78 of the Pennsylvania County Zoning Ordinance.
