Board approves consent agenda items including election services contracts, minutes and personnel appointments

Ossining, N.Y. — At its July 30 meeting the Board of Education approved a consent agenda covering election‑related contracts, previous meeting minutes and multiple personnel items for the coming year and summer programs. The approvals are routine but necessary: they authorize vendors for election services and record district personnel actions ahead of the new school year. During roll call on the consent agenda, a board member moved the package, a second was recorded and the board approved items 4.1 through 4.7 by voice vote. The items listed on the agenda were: a resolution to approve an agreement with the Westchester County Board of Elections; designation of Phoenix Graphics Inc. as the official ballot printer; selection of Ron’s Trucking Corps to transport voting machines; and multiple minutes approvals for meetings in June 2025. The board likewise approved business‑office items including disposal of classroom equipment and textbooks at AMD and Roosevelt and interfund transfers. The board approved curriculum and personnel consent items including recommended placements, professional and civil‑service staff resignations and appointments, support and bus‑attendant appointments, and summer school staff lists. The personnel slate covered items numbered 7.1 through 7.13 on the agenda. During discussion on a policy matter later in the meeting, trustees referenced the personnel items only in passing. All consent items were adopted by voice vote on the record; the public transcript records the motion, a second and the board’s voice assent but does not provide a roll‑call tally of individual votes.
