The Pennsylvania County Planning Commission on Aug. 5 voted to recommend that A and S Investments LLC’s 0.528-acre parcel on State Road 718/Drive Fork Road be rezoned from A-1 agricultural to B-2 general business to allow consolidation with an adjacent B-2 property. The recommendation passed 5–0 with one abstention.
Under the county’s zoning code, rezoning the parcel to B-2 would permit the uses listed in Section 35-3-65. Samantha Thomas represented the petitioner at the hearing and did not add additional testimony beyond the staff packet summary presented by planning staff.
Planning staff opened the public hearing and noted the staff summary was included in the commission packet. No members of the public signed up to speak on this case.
The commission’s recommendation will be forwarded to the Board of Supervisors and the Board of Zoning Appeals for final action in accordance with the Pennsylvania County Zoning Ordinance.
