Marvin, county attorney, explained the system would help monitor “wirelessly, people that, have health conditions that might put them at risk and therefore might put the jail at risk.” He said the county negotiated several contract changes and that the vendor (Command Sourcing) and the integrator (Integrity Communications Solution) were cooperative.
A commissioner moved to approve entering into the agreement and to allow the sheriff to make the purchase; the motion was seconded and carried. The county attorney said the sheriff “does have the money” to fund the purchase. No contract price or procurement thresholds were provided in the public transcript.
