The Public Services Committee on Aug. 4 recommended that the City Council approve a rezoning request for land south of the North Range Business Park, changing the zoning from LI (Light Industrial) to BP (Business Park) on third reading.
Connor White, Planning and Development Department, said the rezoning would "match basically the North Range Business Park with that BP zoning," and that the request is a large parcel south of North Range Business Park being rezoned to align with nearby development patterns.
Committee members asked no substantive follow-up questions and the public offered no comments. Dr. Aldridge moved approval on third and final reading, seconded by Councilman White; members voted in favor and the committee forwarded the rezoning to the City Council with a recommendation to adopt on Monday night.
No amendments or conditions to the rezoning were raised at the committee meeting. The Planning and Development Department will place the ordinance on the full council agenda for final action.
