Resident asks village to enforce mowing at ComEd-owned field and seeks follow-up from mayor

David Belka (spoken in the transcript as David Belka and also earlier as David Dahlke in other comments) told trustees the field previously was mowed regularly and now is “just a weed field.” He asked the village to issue citations to ComEd as appropriate and establish a process requiring resident inquiries receive a good-faith response with solutions within 48 business hours, a policy he said he had learned of in Elk Grove Village. Belka said he and other neighbors had not received the promised follow-up meetings or solutions from the mayor and asked the board to arrange a meeting with county officials about conditions on McCormick and Church.
Belka also raised additional items including a claim for vehicle repair costs he attributed to a pothole and reiterated that he expected mayoral follow-up. The board did not take formal enforcement action during the meeting; the remarks were recorded as public comment.
