Kent awards $1.62 million sanitary sewer lining contract to Insituform Technologies

The city received two bids. Barron recommended awarding the contract to Insituform (listed in the agenda as the low bidder) at $1,620,057.91, which he said was below the engineer’s estimate of $1,750,000.
A council member moved to award the project and authorize the mayor to sign the necessary documents subject to final terms acceptable to the city attorney and public works director; the motion was seconded and carried on a 7-0 vote.
