Board accepts Kingsbridge Section 4 sewer agreements and performance bond

The Board of Public Works and Safety approved execution of sanitary sewer service special agreements, inspection service agreements and accepted a subdivision performance bond for Kingsbridge Section 4 on Aug. 4. City Engineer Matt McElroy presented the agreements on behalf of Platinum Properties Management Company LLC, describing them as the standard forms used by the city for sanitary sewer special agreements and inspection services associated with the final section of the Kingsbridge subdivision. McElroy also presented a performance bond for erosion control (bond number 85870671) in the amount of $109,965 and said acceptance of the bond goes with the agreements the board had just approved. A board member moved to approve acceptance and execution of the agreements and to accept the subdivision performance bond; the motion carried with the board voting in favor. During discussion a board member asked why the documents are called "special agreements;" McElroy and other members explained the terminology originates in Indiana Code authorizing special sewer service agreements and is standard local practice.
