Parks committee sets September meeting for Sept. 2 at 4:15 p.m.

The City of Wausau Parks and Recreation Committee agreed Aug. 4 to hold its September meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 4:15 p.m., after members noted the originally proposed date conflicted with Labor Day and other committee schedules. Committee members discussed two options: Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 5:15 p.m. and the following Monday after HR committee meetings. After noting scheduling conflicts for several members and committee committees, the group settled on Tuesday, Sept. 2 at 4:15 p.m. and asked staff to circulate a calendar invitation. The chair and staff confirmed no formal motion was required when the group reached consensus and a committee member noted that the meeting time would be changed on the city calendar. The committee asked staff to consider meeting timing relative to other boards that meet nearby on the same day and to keep the meeting brief if possible.
