County chooses Lucas Fire & Safety for annex alarm monitoring after low bid

A commissioner noted that Lucas performs the county’s fire-extinguisher maintenance and is local; the commissioner recommended Lucas as the lower, local bidder. “I'll make that motion for Lucas Fire and Safety,” a commissioner said. The board voted 3-0 to award monitoring to Lucas Fire & Safety. The board directed departments to coordinate with Lucas for installation and ongoing monitoring. No protests or alternate awards were recorded during the meeting.
