The Metropolitan Council on Aug. 5 approved resolution RS20251378 exempting a proposed beer-permit location at 1325 Third Avenue North from the city’s minimum-distance requirement.

Chair (unnamed) introduced the resolution and asked for discussion. Brown Wilson of the council office said the site sits within 100 feet of a residence in the Germantown area, which is the reason the exemption was requested. "This was within a 100 feet of residence in, what appears to be Germantown area," Brown Wilson said.

The council moved and seconded the resolution and approved it on voice vote. The chair called for all those in favor; members said "Aye" and no opposition was recorded.

Jenna Burrell of the Streetcar organization attended to answer any questions about the resolution; she identified herself at the meeting and said she was available to respond.
