Red Rock says 470,000-square-foot spec building planned in Pataskill corporate park

Todd Ward, principal of Red Rock Developments, updated the City of Catasco City Council on a pair of local projects and a larger development plan during the council’s citizen comments. Ward said his company closed on a fully leased Main Street building last week and that the buyer is a company he identified as Exer. He also said Red Rock is moving ahead with a 470,000-square-foot speculative building on the east side of Edmond Parkway and that the site plan has been approved.

"We plan to move forward or are moving forward, not planning, with a 470,000 square foot spec building on the East Side of Edmond Parkway," Ward said. He told council staff have been cooperative on required turn lanes and landscaping and that Red Rock had submitted mass-grading permit applications to "Mr. Haines," targeting a mass-grading permit by September so grading can be done before winter.

Ward said the Main Street building is fully leased and that Red Rock closed on the sale last Friday. He described Exer as a long-term owner with other properties in the region. He also told council the Pataskill project is Red Rock’s only spec building it is starting now among the company’s 12 markets east of the Mississippi.

Ward thanked multiple town staff members by name for assistance on sales, turn-lane work and landscaping and said the company expects the construction schedule to put a finished building in place by the fall following mass grading and winter work. He did not request formal council action; his remarks were presented as an informational update.
