Commission approves interim successors, IGP waivers and municipal election interlocal with Fillmore City

Auditor staff reported interim successor appointments for several county offices: Vicky Bennett and Jamie Walton were named as interim successors in the auditor’s office, and Sam Stevens was named as an interim successor in the Miller County Road Department. The commission approved those appointments by motion and voice vote.
County staff also reported six IGP waivers tied to youth sports: four soccer waivers at $50 each, one flag‑football waiver and another soccer waiver at $40, for a stated total of $280. A commissioner moved to approve the IGP waivers and the motion was seconded; the board approved the waivers by voice vote.
Finally, the commission considered and approved an interlocal agreement to run municipal elections for Fillmore City; staff said Fillmore has no primary election but will have a general election and the interlocal completes the county’s list of municipal election contracts. The motion to approve the municipal contract was made, seconded and approved by voice vote.
