Commissioners approve deed back of unsold tax-sale parcel D-743 to county

Staff said the county’s usual policy is to deed such parcels back to the county and schedule them for future sale once cleanup is complete and the county can better offer the property.
Commissioners approved returning Parcel D-743 to county ownership and directed staff to arrange cleanup and a future sale to collect outstanding taxes. The packet notes the second bidder declined as well. A motion to deed the parcel back to the county and resell at a later date passed on a voice vote.
Staff said the county will follow established procedures for cleanup and future sale, and that moving the parcel back to county ownership is consistent with prior practice when bidders decline.
