Howard County staff to award solar project compliance-monitoring contract to BF and S

Howard County Project Manager Pam Isaac told commissioners Monday that a committee reviewed proposals for compliance monitoring on the county’s solar project and selected BF and S as the recommended contractor. The recommendation will be forwarded to Emerald Green for review, after which county staff and Emerald Green will work out details, Isaac said. The recommendation followed proposals from Aegis, Butler Fairman (listed in the review), VS Engineering and Northpointe. Isaac said the county received the recommendation from the review committee; she described the next step as sending the proposed contract on to Emerald Green for their review and coordination with the county. No motion or formal vote on contract award was recorded during the meeting; commissioners responded with brief acknowledgment. The county did not present a signed contract or a schedule for final execution at Monday’s meeting.
