Park County Assessor Terry Call presented the annual mill‑levy schedule required by Wyoming Statute 39‑13‑102. The board set the levies as presented; staff said there were no major surprises compared with the prior year, though the effective value of a mill declined because of valuation and exemption adjustments.
Call explained changes among smaller special districts (noting, for example, Cody Cemetery increased from 1.5 to 2.5 mills while Crown Hill Cemetery decreased), and that the county’s total valuation figure used for the levy calculation is reflective of exemptions and the 4% cap applied to valuations. The assessor provided the county valuation used in the motion and said the total figure for general county valuation is $1,010,219,222 (per the staff presentation).
Commissioners asked clarifying questions about whether the assessments and mill settings could change; staff said the presented levies are final for this action and will be submitted to the state board as required. A motion to set the mill levies as presented passed on a unanimous vote.
