Juvenile court details budget cuts, adds language‑line fee and shifts janitor payroll to maintenance

Spillers also asked to transfer the payroll line for a four‑hour‑per‑day janitorial position out of the juvenile court payroll into the building maintenance payroll so maintenance will supervise and control the position. She said maintenance agreed to take that payroll responsibility. Spillers reported she had kept $3,000 for equipment replacement and retained a small community service supply line for probation to support programming.
The court also said some operational costs, such as courtroom janitorial and building utilities, are being managed centrally by commissioners' office and noted that service agreements and mediation funding remain part of the court's approach to resolving cases without lengthy court calendars.
