Hamilton Center director says agency in compliance; council asked to consider budget items including repainting and parking

Hamilton Center representatives appeared before the Vigo County Council to address questions about salary compliance and to request appropriations for building repainting and parking for clients.

Molly Funk, executive director of addictions at Hamilton Center, told the council she did not have the salary detail at the meeting but believed the center was in compliance. "I do not have that information. I just know that we are in compliance," Funk said when asked about director salary figures. Council members had asked for a list of Hamilton Center board members and additional documentation; Funk said she had requested the board list but had not yet received it.

Separately, a Hamilton Center representative reported completed repainting work and a request to appropriate $7,500 for parking spaces the agency has already leased for client use. "We repainted basically everything that had been repainted in 20 some years. It did come in. I think when we talked, I said it was gonna be somewhere in the low twenties and we came in right on budget," the speaker said. The parking agreement is already signed and clients are using the lot, the representative added. The council asked no immediate vote on withholding funds; staff said they would return with requested documents and that potential budget implications would be examined before any withholding of county funds.
