The Berkeley County Planning Commission accepted staff’s determination that the Stonecrest PUD detailed site plan meets subdivision requirements and directed staff to advertise a public hearing for consideration of detailed site-plan approval on Sept. 2, 2025. Staff summary: The proposal from Straight Arrow LLC (engineer: Fox and Associates) is for a four-unit apartment building on 0.51 acres within the Stonecrest PUD on Kettering Drive; county engineer Doug Smith deemed the plan compliant on July 17, 2025. No waivers or exceptions were requested. Action: A commission motion to accept the detailed site plan determination and advertise a public hearing on Sept. 2, 2025 was seconded and carried. The project will proceed to the advertised public hearing where final detailed site-plan approval will be considered. Next steps: Staff will continue technical review and advertise the hearing; detailed construction and environmental controls will be examined in the next stage.
