Staff said a previously transferred capital amount of $1,250,000 will be returned when projects settle, leaving an expected net addition of about $7,600,000 to the county’s fund balance.
A committee member noted that the county has substantial capital improvement program (CIP) needs on the horizon and that surpluses will likely be earmarked for upcoming projects. The presenter confirmed the projection is preliminary and will be refined during the 45‑day accrual period and as outstanding invoices and tax accruals are completed.
The committee did not take formal action on the projections; the figures were presented for information and internal planning.
