Jessica, president of the Eureka Schools Foundation, told trustees the foundation has eight board members, is expanding volunteer and marketing capacity, and plans several fundraising and community events for the year.
Jessica said the foundation allocated about $38,000 in endowment interest to support teacher collaboration days that follow professional development, a change from prior practice during the pandemic. “Every teacher in the district is gonna have a collaborative day off… so that they can get in real time some best practices,” she said.
Upcoming events Jessica highlighted include a family “meet‑and‑greet” for new TK–3 families, a fund run (early‑bird signups and 68 RSVPs as of the meeting), the 30th annual art auction and gala scheduled for Nov. 7 at the Chalet Event Center in Rockland (draft invitation), and an ESF World Arts Fair in April. She also said the foundation successfully migrated six to seven years of donation data into a new donor CRM and expects improved reporting and trends by year‑end.
Jessica thanked principals and district staff for their collaboration and asked trustees and the community to promote events and volunteer roles.
