County Manager Brent Jaramillo told commissioners the hospital requested inclusion and reminded the commission that an identical question was placed before voters in 2020. "So that was the question on the ballot in, November 2020," Jaramillo said, reading the earlier ballot language.
Jaramillo said the county is still finalizing exact historical receipts but estimated the levy generated about "roughly between 1,500,000.0 to 2,000,000 per year." He told commissioners the deadline for placing an item on the November ballot is Aug. 26, and that the county would prepare precise ballot language and work with the county clerk to meet statutory deadlines.
