The commission heard that Fred, a race-association representative, expects the event to go forward but warned the schedule is close: “we're gonna be ready as long as the FAA doesn't screw us,” he said, summarizing organizers’ biggest worry — federal clearance for temporary grandstand placement and airspace adjustments. The commission and staff said the grandstand location must be finalized quickly because the placement affects where the home pylon is set and that pylon installation is a separate four- to five-week project.
