The Muscatine County Board of Supervisors reset a public hearing for Monday, Aug. 11, 2025, on proposed plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost for a Muscatine County downtown parking lot and sidewalk project.
County Development Director Eric Furnace told the board the hearing date had been set previously but did not appear on last week’s agenda, so the item could not be heard then. Furnace said the county met publication deadlines and had not yet received public comments. The reset insures required notice and allows residents another opportunity to comment on sidewalks and parking plans.
The board moved and seconded the action and approved the reset by voice vote. No public comments were recorded at the Aug. 4 meeting on the project; the public hearing will be conducted on Aug. 11 as scheduled.
