The board approved the Starpoint districtwide safety plan for 2025–26 and the building‑level emergency response plans following a 30‑day public comment period, administrators said.
A district presenter described the plan as the document that “guides us in emergency, sets up the community structure,” and said it lists local partners such as the sheriff’s office and the Red Cross. The presenter described the plan as a state‑required document and said the district solicited public comment for 30 days prior to adoption.
The board moved and approved the districtwide plan and each building’s emergency response procedures on voice votes during the meeting. The presenter asked the community to view the plan and noted that the district hopes never to have to use it but must prepare relationships and procedures for emergency response.
Board members and administrators did not propose amendments during the meeting; staff will continue to coordinate with listed community partners and review procedures as needed.
