The land advisory committee reported drafting a Park Trail and Recreation Grama Policy to provide a consistent approach for handling requests for park and trail funding; the board approved moving forward with the policy as presented. The committee also recommended removing parcel PID 16.0280.00 from a tax forfeited auction and considering it for a replacement and rehabilitation program in conjunction with Carrick Township; the board approved that recommendation.
Commissioners authorized resolutions setting terms and conditions for the 2025 Pine County tax-forfeit land auction (in-person sale Sept. 19) and for an adjoining-owner restricted auction, and staff will relist new forfeitures online for a min-bid period from Oct. 21–30, 2025. The board also recorded previously approved actions to purchase two easements to ensure access across certain tax-forfeited land (PIDs and sellers named in staff report) and established a nonexclusive public easement on abandoned Old Dozie Town Road for utilities, roadway and recreational use (resolution authorization recorded).
On another easement request, the board approved establishing an easement across PID 20.0470 to Jet Ty Yang and Parler Moore and directed staff to return with a purchase-price determination by Aug. 5, 2027, as a sunset date for completion of required work (surveying).
