Weber County Commission approves weekly warrants and consent items

County staff member Ricky Hatch summarized the weekly financial activity, saying staff issued 12 purchase orders for about $202,000 and 149 checks totaling roughly $2.6 million. He said 70% of the purchase order amount (approximately $142,000) was for the transfer station ramp work; roughly $347,000 was for paramedic services and Staker and Parsons Company received the largest single vendor payment at about $668,000 in the period reported. Hatch also said funding for the Twelfth Street construction came from local transportation tax dollars.
The consent calendar included: approval of purchase orders and warrants, approval of new business licenses, updates to HR policies (policy 4-700 on wellness program reimbursements and policy 3-600 on discipline), a retirement agreement with Daniel Brown, and a contract allowing Nelson Homes to improve roadway crossings over Bureau of Reclamation drain structures in the JDC development. County staff and commissioners thanked HR staff Emily Wild for policy work that broadened gym reimbursement options and fixed a discipline policy error.
