The City Council approved a declaration of surplus property for several spare toner cartridges and a fuser kit from the Information Technology department, authorizing the items to be sold on govdeals.com.
"The IT department has several, spare extra cartridges for toner and, a fuser kit that they would like to ask to have surplus that we don't need them. And so we'll sell them on govdeals.com," Purchasing Manager Dave Payne told the council. The council moved, seconded and approved the surplus declaration by voice vote.
The transcript records only the surplus item categories and the intended sales platform; there was no discussion of estimated sale value, number of units, or the expected date of sale. The purchasing office will handle the listing and sale through the city’s established surplus property procedures.
