The Board of Education on July 28 approved a bundle of updated board policies on second reading and adopted another group of policies that had been reviewed without modification. District staff said the policy text itself is correct but that some embedded web links in the press materials point to pages on the old website and will be updated by administration staff.

Brian (staff) told the committee these policies were presented at the June meeting and that the board had opportunities to review them at subsequent meetings. A board member noted several links in the press packet pointed to legacy web pages and asked administration to update those links; staff said they would do so and that the link updates did not require board re-approval of policy text.
The board approved the second‑reading policy package and a separate set of policies undergoing five‑year review. Board members said the review process is intended to educate newer board members and allow the board to identify any needed changes.
Staff said more policy updates are scheduled for the fall and that link‑fixes will be coordinated with the district website roll‑out.
