Supervisors discussed having a multi‑member screening panel — a process used previously that included a mixture of elected officials and departmental representatives — to screen applicants and recommend finalists for board interviews.
The board’s extension of the employment agreement was unanimous. Supervisors said they intended to conduct a deliberate national recruitment and to involve appropriate stakeholders in the evaluation of candidates.
