The legislation (Resolution 2025-41) authorizes the purchase from I2C Technologies Limited and follows a state grant the council previously approved on June 23, 2025, Chief Mealy's memo attached to the packet said. Council minutes note that the grant does not fully cover electrical work required for installation; the city will fund the uncovered electrical work from its budget.
Resolution sponsors said the cameras support traffic enforcement and traffic-safety objectives. The resolution passed on a roll call vote; no council members spoke in opposition during the vote.
