Summary
Mayfield Heights approved an engineering-services agreement with GPD for Ridgebury Boulevard resurfacing from Iroquois Avenue to Orchard Heights Drive; the project will be combined with adjacent Highland Heights work and Cuyahoga County is contributing up to $250,000 toward construction.
Mayfield Heights council on Aug. 4 authorized an agreement with the GPD Group (Klaus Pyle, Chalmer, Burns & DeHaven, d/b/a GPD) for professional engineering services to design the Ridgebury Boulevard resurfacing project. The limits are Iroquois Avenue to Orchard Heights Drive; the transcript indicates the north side of the road lies in Highland Heights and that both communities will combine work into a single bid package. The Cuyahoga County Department of Public Works agreed to provide up to $250,000 toward the estimated construction cost. Council amended and then adopted Resolution 2025-43 to approve GPD's services. City engineering staff said the two communities will likely execute a cooperative agreement after bids come in so each jurisdiction can confirm its share of construction costs. The council vote was unanimous. The city will move into the design phase with GPD and coordinate bid packaging and interlocal responsibilities with Highland Heights and the county.
