The vendor identified two scanning processes: a standard scanner for sheets up to 36 inches and a fine-art scanner for wider sheets (the county’s majority of drawings are 42 inches wide). Scanned images will be saved to a cloud repository accessible to county staff by password; staff also proposed printing and framing several high-quality prints for courthouse display if the scans prove suitable.
Cost and funding: Staff said the per-item cost estimate provided in the meeting packet is approximately $56.50 (presenter’s figure). The board approved the quote and directed that payment be charged to the general services or the special projects fund, whichever was appropriate.
