Dan from the county planning and zoning office presented the application to the board and reported that surrounding property owners had been notified and that no public comments were received. Dan said the facility currently had about 90,000 gallons of storage and that the application adds a 30,000-gallon tank. County staff described setback calculations discussed in the application: adding the tank increases a setback by 150 feet in the plan’s calculations (the transcript references a 450-foot setback plus the additional 150 feet to reach a referenced approximate 600-foot setback); staff said the closest residence to the site is about 1,100 feet away. The Board of Adjustments reviewed the matter and raised no permitting issues when considering the conditional permit.
