Franklin County approves FY2025 budget amendment after public hearing

The amendment was described by staff as largely covering hail-damage vehicle repairs, reallocating opioid fund expenditures and funding maintenance agreements for IT services and related solutions. The board opened and closed a public hearing on the amendment before moving to adopt the resolution.
A roll-call vote recorded Supervisors Lukensmeyer, McVicker and Vaness as voting in favor and the resolution passed. County staff noted the amendment will be published as required prior to the hearing date and that the county will follow the published schedule for final adoption.
The board did not receive any in-person or written public comments at the hearing. The action completes the county’s immediate changes for FY2025 spending tied to vehicle repairs and several smaller adjustments to departmental budgets.
County staff said the amendment will be implemented through the county’s normal accounting procedures and reported later at regular meetings if additional adjustments are needed.
