The Village Board approved the Recreation and Parks winter–spring 2026 program guide and related items, including a reduction in the hometown heroes banner participation fee from $125 to $75 and a $25 reuse fee for banners in good condition. The board also approved introducing a drop-in pickleball program at the Franklin Lobe Center beginning Nov. 2025.
Trustee Katsenas moved to approve the program list and to authorize payments to contractual vendors and instructors listed in the guide at time of invoicing; the village manager was authorized to execute agreements with listed vendors and instructors subject to village attorney review. Trustees approved the motion by roll call.
The board also authorized payment procedures and contract execution to allow timely program delivery. Trustees and staff noted the change lowers the barrier for residents to participate in the hometown heroes banner program and formalizes a new community recreation offering.
