TDC reviews post-event recaps: Paddle Florida adjustments and Sheriff Posse race held despite Tropical Storm Nestor

The Tourist Development Council reviewed new post-event recap reports for discretionary-event-funded programs, including Paddle Florida and the Sheriff Posse Adventure Race. Staff emphasized the events' role in the council's environmental outreach and noted that local businesses benefited from catering and hotel room nights by some participants. No formal action was required on the recaps; staff said the recaps are part of a new checks-and-balances practice to document event outcomes, expenditures and return-on-investment metrics.
