Multiple members expressed that a 3:00 p.m. meeting was “very inconvenient” and interrupted mid-day work. Several members said they preferred mornings; one suggested 10 a.m., others preferred 9 a.m. The chair called for a motion to set meetings at 9:00 a.m.; the motion was moved and seconded and passed with no opposition recorded.
Why this matters: meeting time affects member attendance, public participation and staff scheduling. The council recorded the change in the meeting minutes and directed staff to hold future meetings at 9:00 a.m.
