Board authorizes abatement and lien recording for vacant Seventh Street lot
Summary

The City of Clermont Code Enforcement Board found that a vacant parcel owned by Vet Development LLC on Seventh Street violated nuisance and maintenance provisions and authorized the city to begin abatement and to record any costs as a lien.
Evie Wallace presented staff’s chronology of notices and inspections and showed photos of the property and of posted notices. Staff recommended the board find the respondent in violation, authorize city abatement action, and authorize the recording of abatement costs as a lien against the parcel.
The board approved staff’s recommendation, authorizing abatement of the nuisance and allowing city staff to record any and all costs incurred in the county clerk’s office as a lien. Staff will perform abatement work, document costs, and proceed with lien recording if necessary per the board’s order.
