The Village Board of Trustees on Aug. 4 approved an omnibus motion to adopt several items recommended by committees, including the ordinance amending the building-fee schedule, the Fire Station 21 furniture purchase and contingency, the 2025 preventative pavement maintenance contract, the three-year crossing guard agreement extension, and the 2025 CDBG consolidated and annual action plans and related agreement with Northwest Housing Partnership. At the board meeting trustees approved a corrected schedule-of-bills total of $5,000,009.50 by roll call vote. After adopting the omnibus items, the board voted to go into executive session under the Illinois Open Meetings Act to discuss collective bargaining (5 ILCS 120/2(c)(2)). Several trustees cast aye votes on both the omnibus motion and the executive-session motion. Board leaders said the executive session would address collective bargaining matters and indicated they did not expect to reconvene in public that night.
