Tarrant County HFC to move bank account under county depository for online access

The Tarrant County Housing Finance Corporation voted unanimously Aug. 4 to transfer its existing bank account to the county depository system.
Miss Buchanan, speaking to the board, described the change as a follow-up to an earlier discussion about banking products the board had declined because of cost. “For your consideration, we'd like to receive and file the, quarterly report as well as the investment report as of June 30,” Buchanan said earlier in the meeting; when discussing the depository transfer she said it would allow the corporation to view and initiate transactions without additional charges. “This will allow us to view, transactions, initiate transactions without an additional charge,” Buchanan said.
Board members compared the arrangement to the City of Fort Worth’s practice and confirmed the move will put the Housing Finance Corporation’s bank account under the county’s depository umbrella, providing the same online rights and privileges the county receives.
A motion to approve the transfer was made and seconded and passed unanimously. The board did not record any public comments on the matter during the meeting.
