Slanko board reviews June finances; cafeteria to receive new ovens and dishwasher

The district’s business staff reported total receipts for June in the general fund of $3,629,492.68 and total disbursements of $12,960,363.82, producing a net reduction of $9,330,871.14 and a June 30 balance of $20,298,798.86. The board was told transfers from that fund went to the capital project fund and annual audit transfers. Capital project receipts for June were reported at $7,930,084.71, with disbursements of $1,210,361.51, leaving a net increase of $6,719,723.20 and a June 30 balance of $32,693,783.40. The cafeteria fund received $231,621.06 in June and had a June 30 balance of $1,784,758.57 after a monthly reduction of $95,529.18.
The board approved each report by voice vote.
The board also heard that purchase of ovens and a dishwasher for the high school cafeterias is finalized. “Everything’s good to go,” said Missus Tucker. The district cautioned that some high-school equipment will not be ready when classes start and is expected to be installed by October because electrical upgrades are required to support the new equipment.
