The Young County Commissioners Court unanimously ratified several administrative actions during its meeting, including a training contract, a culvert permit, permission to enter private property for creek clearing and acceptance of a sealed sale bid.
The court ratified a contract between Young County and Ann Dallen for training on duties and bank reconciliations. The court noted the contract had been discussed at a prior meeting and that Ann had already started the work. Commissioner Cresswell moved to ratify the contract; the motion passed 5–0.
On a permit request, the court approved an application to install an entry culvert in the county road right-of-way for Wasser Road. Commissioner Cresswell presented the item and the court voted to approve the permit; the motion passed unanimously.
The court also approved permission from property owner Bruce Stevens to give Precinct 4 access to his property on Oliver Lane for creek cleaning to aid water flow and public safety following local flooding. Commissioner Wiley moved the item and Commissioner Craig seconded; the court approved the request 5–0.
Separately, the court opened a sealed bid and later accepted a sale bid for $84,001.20; Commissioner Wylie moved to accept the sale bid and Commissioner Cresswell seconded. The motion passed 5–0. The court then recessed for a budget workshop.
