Commissioners approve two-year renewal for county surveyor’s professional services

Terry Brock, who presented the request, said the contract language that had been added in a recent version established a two-year term and that the office has historically operated under an auto-renewing contract. He told the commission that the surveyor’s services are budgeted in his office and that the current budget can absorb the requested increase for this fiscal year and next.
“As you know, he’s the main person in our MS4. He basically runs our MS4 program,” Terry said, referring to stormwater (MS4) compliance responsibilities.
Frank Myers moved to accept the renewal of the professional service agreement; after a second, the motion passed 3-0.
Commissioners confirmed the agreement is not retroactive and that the change to a two-year contract term reflects recent contract revisions. The surveyor’s office will continue delivering stormwater-program and surveying services under the renewed agreement and county budget oversight.
