Council confirms three appointments to tax review board and zoning appeals; one abstention

Council President Chris Foster made a single motion nominating all three candidates; Councilor Banwag seconded. Councilor Kowalski said she had abstained from interviews for scheduling reasons and would abstain from the vote out of policy when she had not interviewed an applicant. The roll call showed five votes in favor, zero against, and one abstention; the motion passed.
The appointees will serve under terms stated at the meeting: two‑year terms for the Board of Tax Review members and a partial term through Dec. 31, 2026 for the Zoning and Building Appeals seat.
