Mayor Dennis Hanwell and city, chamber and Main Street partners formally welcomed Panchard Chiropractic Wellness Center to Medina and presented a proclamation marking the practice’s 20th anniversary at a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The recognition took place at a city-hosted event where Mayor Dennis Hanwell read a proclamation honoring the clinic’s move to a new location in Medina and its two-decade milestone. “We look forward to the great things that they will continue to accomplish in the future,” Hanwell said as he presented the proclamation.
The ceremony highlighted the clinic’s services, cited in the city proclamation, which list “chiropractic care, acupuncture, massage therapy, low level laser therapy, and nutritional supplements” as modalities the office will offer. State Rep. Sharon Ray attended and offered official greetings. Representatives or congratulatory certificates were also presented from Auditor of State Keith Faber (delivered by regional liaison Tina Ludwig), U.S. Rep. Max Miller (delivered by Ray Paletta), the three Medina County commissioners (certificate presented on their behalf), and the Ohio Senate (congratulatory resolution from Senator Mark Romanchuk). Kimberly Marshall, the city’s economic development director, said the ribbon-cutting program is a long-running joint effort with the Medina Chamber of Commerce and Main Street Medina.
Dr. Jen Pannettcher, the practice owner, told the assembled guests she opened her practice in 02/2005 and has focused on bringing chiropractic and complementary wellness services to patients. “When I opened my practice back in 02/2005, my goal was always to help as many people as I could through the benefits of chiropractic, through acupuncture, and bring wellness and health and vitality to the community,” she said. She thanked patients, staff, family and the Rose Company for providing the space in Medina.
City officials noted the ribbon cutting aligns with the city’s long-running Healthy Medina initiative and local economic-development work. Hanwell said the city coordinates ribbon cuttings with the Chamber and Main Street Medina and pointed to the downtown’s full occupancy as an indicator of demand for services.
No legislative or budgetary action was taken at the event; the program consisted of mayoral proclamations, remarks from local and visiting officials, and the ceremonial ribbon cutting.
Dr. Pannettcher and event organizers concluded the brief ceremony with a formal ribbon-cutting photo opportunity and reception for guests.
