Rhonda Colburn asked the Gibson County Commissioners for funding to replace flooring at the county senior center, saying her "lowest bid was $13,468" and requesting approval to proceed.
Commissioners discussed the request and decided to table the matter until the next meeting to allow time to review accounts and budget priorities. One commissioner said they would "have you a definite answer by then." The request was not approved at the meeting.
Colburn said she hoped to complete the work before the end of the year and that she had sought multiple bids; commissioners indicated they would revisit the request at the next meeting and provide an answer then.
