Wildcat Experience and outreach events to return in September; schools, activities and schedule announced

Stormwater staff invited commissioners to participate in the Wildcat Experience educational event this September and asked for volunteers to give introductory remarks or work in the creek with students. The event location was identified as Camp Ticony off Malfalfa, and staff said the program targets high-school biology and environmental-science classes and camp groups.
Staff also described recent outreach at the Wabash River Fest in Lafayette, where volunteers from Wildcat Guardians distributed brochures about Wildcat Creek, fish, macroinvertebrates and mussels and met other environmental groups. Staff said the outreach included a local map of put‑ins and take‑outs and helped promote local cleanup projects.
Commissioners were invited to volunteer at Wildcat Experience, to give short remarks, or to join hands‑on creek activities; staff said shirts for volunteers are arriving and plans are underway.
