Nybarger said she had served on mixed local boards (Bridal Public Library appointed by the city of Belvidere; Boone County Museum district and Belvidere Cemetery Board with county appointments) and found the countys volunteer-opportunities information difficult to navigate online. She asked the county to publish clearer lists of volunteer committees, task descriptions, terms and contact information to make it easier for new volunteers to participate.

Chairman Carl Johnson thanked Nybarger for her comments; the board did not take immediate action on the suggestions but the topic was recorded in the public comment record for possible future consideration.
