Routt County commissioners on July 22 approved renewing a contract with Intentional Pathways Counseling Services LLC to provide licensed addiction‑counseling services in the county jail under the Jail‑Based Behavioral Services (JBBS) program. Jail and sheriff’s office staff told the board the contract had been in place for about four months and that the provider, based in Oak Creek, had filled the required two‑hour minimum weekly on‑site time and maintained a full schedule. "We've been contracted with her for about 4 months now because we came in a little late with her, and she's been doing an amazing job," said the jail program presenter. Commissioners asked about operational performance and caseload; staff described an intake and scheduling process that routes people to mental‑health or substance‑use counseling as appropriate and reported positive early results. The renewal covers one year and is funded through the state Behavioral Health Administration; commissioners approved the chair’s signature on the renewal contract by motion and voice vote. Staff will continue to monitor program usage, summarise outcomes and comply with grant reporting requirements.
